Is there something dangerous lurking in your bathroom? Mold loves to grow in bathrooms because they are damp environments. Taking steps to prevent mold growth in the first place is the easiest course. It’s more difficult to get rid of once it starts. Mold can impact the health of you and your family, so it’s not something to be ignored.
Baths, showers, and laundry machines create moisture in the air. Make sure your bathroom exhaust fan works well. The fan will draw out the moisture from the room and release it outside. If you have any leaks around the toilet or faucet, fix those. Regularly wash your shower curtain, towels, and bathmats. Before throwing items into your laundry basket, be sure they are dry. If you leave damp clothing or towels for long in a pile, you have provided a great breeding ground for mold.
Scrub your shower grout regularly. Grout traps moisture, and mold loves that moisture. If you want to use natural agents to clean with, vinegar and baking soda are known to do a decent job. In some cases, a stronger chemical may be needed. If so, be sure to have good ventilation.
