Dusting Your Home

Dusting your house may not be your favorite thing to do, but reducing the dust on your furniture and in the air can improve your health.

Dusty furniture does not look nice. So, dusting will improve the look of your cozy home. More importantly, dust can intensify allergies in humans and pets. This is especially dangerous if anyone in the household has asthma.

Your method of dusting is as important as how regularly you do it. Dust from top to bottom of your rooms. Don’t forget to dust ceiling fans, light fixtures, curtain rods, picture frames, and the tops of doorframes. Follow by dusting your furniture, and then clean the dust from the baseboards and floors by vacuuming and mopping.

There are a variety of cleaning tools for dusting. Choose effective tools like microfiber dusters and microfiber mops. These are better for capturing the dust instead of just pushing it around. Using more natural cleaning agents promote better health. Keep your vacuum clean for efficiency. Wash your microfiber cloths. Just make sure to dry them on low or no heat so as to not affect their ability to grab dirt and dust.
