That Is Too Hot!

If you have young children at home, or if you are caring for aging parents, you probably know how quickly they can get hurt if you don’t pay attention. This is definitely the case when it comes to hot water. You might not realize this, but some water heaters that are set incorrectly could put out water that is 160 degrees. At that temperature, water is hot enough to scald the skin of a person in just a few minutes. Since you don’t want that to happen to those you love, what should you do?

One important device to have installed is an anti-scald valve. These devices will mix the hot and the cold water on the way to a faucet or showerhead to maintain a safe temperature. They will even help with sudden spikes when someone turns on a faucet or flushes a toilet somewhere else in the house when you are taking a shower.
